Buffy Summers
is the main character of BVS. Before moving to Hellmouth, Buffy lived where
she has loads of friends and is really popular. At her old school, she
is still the slayer, but with a different watcher named Merrick. While
fighting vampires Buffy blows up her school gym, getting expelled. Her
parents divorce that year too, making things even more hectic for Buffy.
She moves away with her mom to Sunnydale, California. When she gets there,
a man named Giles who's the librarian tells her of her duty of the slayer
in Sunnydale. He reveals that their school is located ontop of Hellmouth,
the opening to Hell. Buffy befriends twp other students at her new school,
Willow and Xander. She tells them about her duty as the slayer, and they
all agree to help her fulfill those duties.
Buffy
faces many monstrous demons and vampires, and meets a lot of people along
the way. She even meets a vampire with a soul, named Angel. Angel is a
vampire from the 1700's, but looks about 25. They fall in love, but in
the end of season 3 he leaves.
In season 5
it's revealed that Buffy has a younger sister named Dawn. Dawn's real identity
is the key to the world, meaning if she got into the wrong hands she could
destroy the world. She used to be green, swirling pure energy guarded by
monks. After a dark force was trying to get her, the monks turned the energy
into a human, Dawn. So the slayer would protect her, they made her Buffy's
sister.
Buffy is a
very important character and she keeps Sunnydale safe and under control. |
