Season Summaries

(Contains no spoilers)


Season 1: The first season of Buffy is mainly about why Buffy must follow her destiny. Her parents just got divorced and Buffy was expelled from her school since she burned the gym down. Buffy and her mom move to Sunnydale where Buffy is told of her duties as the "chosen one" by her high school librarian, Rupert Giles. Buffy also meets all her friends, which most of them stay with her in the later seasons too. They all call each other as a group the "scooby gang", and are clued in to Buffy and her duties and help her. The main demon in this series is the Master, a vampire trapped in Hellmouth, desperately wanting to get out.

Season 2: Buffy and Angel's relationship starts to get more intense. The main demons are three vampires from Angel's past: Drusilla, Darla, and Spike. Once Angel loses his soul he goes with to join them. When they finally figure out a way to open the vortex to Hell (which would combine Earth and Hell) Buffy and Spike (since he has grown fond of this world) team up to stop them.

Season 3: A new slayer comes to town after Kendra's death, named Faith. Faith and Buffy team up together, except between the two of them there's big competition. Faith has problems from her past, and blames others for them. After Faith accidentally slays a human by mistake, she turns to the other side. She teams up with the  mayor, a demon who looks exactly like a human. He plans to kill all of Sunnydale High at their graduation by turning into a serpent. Buffy, the "Scooby gang", and the rest of the school have to team together to try to bring him down.

Season 4: After Angel leaves Sunnydale, Buffy goes to Sunnydale College along with Willow and Oz. Buffy meets a guy named Riley, and later finds out he works for the initiative. The initiative works by capturing demons and then having them imprisoned inside of their underground lab. The main demon in this season is Adam, a monster made of several different demon parts.

Season 5: It is revealed that Buffy has a sister named Dawn. Dawn is the key to the world, meaning if she got into the wrong hands she could destroy the world. The main demon is Glory, a powerful Hellmouth god who wants to find the key so all the demensions could pour together, ending the world.
