Willow Rosenburg is an intellegent girl with a quirky sense of humor. Willow appeared in the first episode when Buffy arrived in Sunndale. They became best friends very soon. She is very shy and has a hard time speaking up. 
   Willow had a long time crush on Xander (her best friend) for 16 years, until she finally met another guy named Oz, who just happened to be a werewolf. Because of his worries that she would get hurt whenever he turned into a wolf, he left. Finally Willow just kind of gave up on guys and got into a relationship with another female. Her name was Tara McLay and for two seasons they've been together.
  In the "scooby gang" her job is as one of the slayerettes. She helps Buffy a lot, with witchcraft and all. Her witchcraft isn't shown much until season 5, where she has one of the most important duties in the season finale. She practices Wicca, which is where she met Tara, who is also a witch. Willow is a very important character in the series, as Buffy's best friend and with her help.
